This was once one of our favorite restaurants, so writing this review is disappointing.
We were excited to see it return after its brief period operating as a Mexican restaurant, but our recent experience fell far short of what we remembered.
Many menu items were unavailable, which limited our options from the start. Our server was courteous and appeared to be working hard, but seemed unable to influence the pace coming from the kitchen.
The most significant issue was the food service. Our party of four received entrees in two separate waves about 30 minutes apart, making it difficult to enjoy the meal together. Several dishes also did not match their menu descriptions. For example, a rice jambalaya arrived as something much closer to a vegetable curry than a jambalaya.
We understand that newly reopened restaurants often experience growing pains, and we genuinely hope this is the case. However, based on this visit, the food quality, execution, and overall dining experience were nowhere near the standard we remembered from the restaurant’s earlier years.
We hope the restaurant finds its footing again, but it has a considerable way to go before we would consider returning.
Réservation validée. Réception d'un mail pour ne pas oublier que j'avais réservé puis on arrive sur place et le resto est fermé.... et maintenant je reçois un mail me demandant de noter L'armagnac... ben voilà ma note.
It was cozy and not touristy but also rather empty. Food and drinks were okay but left a lot to desire, although prices were rather good. The host/waiter was really sweet and nice
